Parenting - Sex Education for children

Sex Education for children is very important. Well you won't like to see your child die of any stupid mistake, will you? Human life incorporates continuous learning, we learn, from the environment we live in, from people around us, from the mistakes we do! Sometimes it is better to do anything practically and do a mistake and then learn from it! But we cannot always learn from our mistake. But we cannot always learn from our mistake, because it might be first and final mistake of our life, there won’t be anything to learn but to regret. And one such mistake is AIDS!

When child draws first breathe in this world, everything is new for him/her, and starts learning everything slowly. We all know, learning in our life has three phases, first phase is most important as in this phase whatever we learn, it becomes the base of our life and we learn everything in this phase from our parents. In second phase we learn from our teachers and in third phase we learn from our friends and people around us.

AIDS has killed millions of people and millions more are waiting helplessly for death. 80% of the AIDS patients made the mistake which cannot be corrected. We would never like our child to fall to such mistake and end his/her life. If we teach every single thing to our child, if we decide what is good and what’s not for our child, if we make our child study right from childhood so that he/she should become something in future then why can’t we give our child sex education which can help prevent his/her life from ruining? I do not ask you to teach a 5 year old what sex is, but do take care to give this knowledge when your child is old enough to understand this and is undergoing hormonal changes.

It has to be done at right time, in fact when it is necessary to teach a teenage what sex is and why we feel ourselves more attracted towards it when we are teenager and how it can destroy our life if we do not take necessary measures, no parent like to talk on this topic. When children undergo hormonal changes, no one explains what he/she has/wants to know and finally they find the way to some other things which do not explain but try to lure them and their desires and make them do what they should not.

Teach your child how he/she can abstain from lust and obey celibacy. If you feel you can’t then take help of your doctor, that’s the best thing you can do. Do not restrict your child from seeing something which an adult should see cause it makes child curious about that thing and he/she will try to find out way to know it anyways, and when it happens, if there is no one who can tell them properly what it is all about, its for sure that they are going to ruin their life.

It’s our duty to save our child and so we also should not fall to such mistake, whatever our child is going to learn, he/she will learn it from us; we should stay away from these things and should set an example for our child which s/he can follow.
